Giving thanks for decades of painting in our regional open spaces

Since she began painting outdoors forty years ago, Marcia has become known for images of our local landscape through prints of her paintings that show up all over the world — from English and Australian pubs to hundreds of health care facilities in the United States — and through expansive original paintings such as those in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Cancer Center, Scripps in San Diego, and M.D. Anderson in Texas.

Her work has been featured in many magazines, included in a number of “how to” books, and written about in art books by Rizzoli.

She remains one of the original members of The Oak Group and is a founding member of SCAPE, joining other artists that paint, exhibit, and raise money to protect and preserve our local open spaces.
